Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has landed in Naples to join Italian side Napoli in a deal reported to cost the club €70m including bonuses.
Osimhen was pictured after he arrived in the city of Naples from France with a private flight. According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the 21-year-old will be meeting the club with his agent.
It will be recalled that we reported yesterday about a proposed £100m deal involving the Super Eagles striker and another Lille defender. In less than 12 hours, looks like things have gotten even more serious. He had a meeting yesterday evening with head coach Genaro Gattuso.
With no deal agreed yet, Osimhen will make his decision after meeting with the club. There are also reports that the striker is hesitant on the Napoli move and would prefer a move to England.
Osimhen is a priority for Napoli who are looking to bring in a promising forward with club legend Dries Mertens past his peak at the age of 33. The Nigeria international is leaving Lille after just one successful season with 18 goals in 31 games across all competitions.
