Super Eagles head coach Rohr has recalled Ahmed Musa and Kelechi Iheanacho in his latest squad – including two new names. The German coach has handed debut call-ups for the Bundesliga-based defender Kingsley Ehizibue, Holland-based and Belgian-born striker Cyriel Dessers.
Kingsley Ehizibue is a 21-year-old right back who plays for Fc Koln has made 21 appearances for the German club including a goal and assist. The youngster with the Nigerian name “Osezele” has also represented the Netherlands at junior level.
Cyriel Dessers was born in Belgium to a Belgian father and Nigerian mother but based in Holland with Heracles Almelo. The 25-year-old is what you call a hot striker in form. 18 goals, six assists from 28 games is what the new Super Eagles striker has delivered in the Dutch top division.
The Super Eagles, sitting pretty on top of the qualification group after two wins against Benin and Lesotho, will host Sierra Leone on Friday 27 March before the away trip to Freetown on Tuesday 31 March.
There are regulars in Rohr’s 24-man squad including captain Ahmed Musa, his vice, Troost-Ekong and others including Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Aribo, Victor Osimhen. The team camp, which will additionally having a new techincal member in Joseph Yobo, will begin on Monday 23 March in the Delta State Capital.
