Samuel Chukwueze was on target and provided an assist to help Villarreal beat Real Betis 5-1 on Friday night.
Chukwueze came in as a second half substitute to replace Moi Gomez in the 57th minute when the score stood at 1-1 with first half goals from Cameroon international Karl Toko-Ekambi and Real Betis’ Emerson.
Chukwueze’s fresh vibes and pace brought more life to the game, and posing threats to the opponent and it paid off 10 minutes after getting on the pitch as the 20-year-old was fouled in the danger area.
Santi Cazorla converted the resultant penalty to put Villareal back in front.
Toko Ekambi then extended the lead in the 76th minute after he was set up by Gerard Moreno to complete his brace.
Moreno would get on the scoresheet in the 90th minutes before Chukwueze completed the rout in added time to return Villarreal to winning way after their 2-1 defeat to Barcelona in previous game.
The win moved Villarreal to the sixth spot in the league table with 11 points from seven games.
