Ahmed Musa has been linked with a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray, according to various reports in Turkey including Fotomac.
The 28-year-old Super Eagles skipper is currently a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Saudi based side Al Nassr.
Musa joined signed a four-year contract with Al Nassr in 2018 after leaving the English Premier League side Leicester City, but he’s now free to join any club of his choice. He made 58 appearances for the club, scored 11 goals, and recorded 14 assists. He departed Saudi Arabia as the 2018-19 Saudi top-flight diadem and the 2019 Saudi Super Cup champions.
The report claims that supporters pressurized the powers that be at Al Nassr to part company with the Nigeria international due to his dwindling form and he was not motivated in Saudi Arabia because he felt the league was below his standard.
Musa’s agent is in contact with Galatasaary chiefs over a transfer and a deal might be in the offing if his demands are met. If he joins Galatasaray, he would link up with another Super Eagles star Oghenekaro Etebo and Jesse Sekidika at the club.
